Mimaki cg-60sr plotter with winpcsign pro 2012 software HELP !!

i have recently purchased the above plotter and software and am having trouble getting the software to recognize the plotter ? It is connected with a usb cable straight to computer.I am running windows 7 , is there a way to configure the usb port to see the plotter ? New to this
