Mimaki cg30-fx won't cut

I have a Mimaki cg30-fx plotter and am using Illustrator cs2 with fine cut 7. I have the plotter all set (on REMOTE) ready to cut. Hit cut on fine cut in illustrator....sends file....plotter displays 1kb and goes back to REMOTE and fine cut displays "No response from plotter. Check whether plotter is in remote mode". So frustrated on trying to get this plotter going!!! Tech from Mimaki is stumped. Help!!!

Yes the plotter did work and we even got a new mother board in with the same results.

I use corel draw X3 my 130 won't work on any finecut above 5.3. Mimaki is still working on a fix for it. I'm about the only 1 left in the shop still using X3 cause of this.
