Mimaki CJV30-130 Test Print Image Issue

Hi,

Please see attached image.

When I print a Test Print I get not firing nozzles and it is like firing black along the tops.

Any Ideas Please.

I guess that you have already tried Hard Clean in the printer menu? Have you checked your wash fluid cartridge lately? You could also try the procedure mentioned by Sightline in post #7 of this thread: http://www.signs101.com/forums/showthread.php?118760-CJV30-160-Printhead-Issue&p=1198423#post1198423

I'd say that it looks like a head strike the media and the media lifted up to the adhesive side before you could get to it?

The CJV is the same as the JV33 as far as the ink and head goes. The difference is the CJV has the plotter/cutter and the JV33 does not.

I run a cjv150. When that happens to me I manually clean the capping station, the wiper, and do a hard cleaning. If that doesn't work you'll have to perform a nozzle wash.

Upon a closer look at your picture, It looks like you have black in the cyan and yellow too. Manifold cracked? Was this a working printer or are you trying to repair a dead/salvaged printer that you picked up for cheap somewhere? Did someone pull a head from an aqueos printer like an Epson r1900 trying to save money on a head? Your other post for firmware help suggests that you are trying to use a cheap/wrong head and make it work anyway. Those heads are much cheaper than the proper DX5 that's OEM for that printer but the manifold on those office printer heads are not made for solvent inks.
