mimaki cjv30 cut efter print problems

I am a new user on the digital printing scene.
My cjv 30 will NOT cut after print???
I am stumped and feel as though i have tried everything.
I am looking to talk to a person by phone who has used or is currently using
a mimaki w/fine cut 8 and raster link pro5.

Take your printer off of "REMOTE" so that it reads "LOCAL" - feed the paper out a bit then poke the "FUNCTION" button. It'll say something like "MEDIA CUT" then just poke the "ENTER" button. Catch it before it hits the floor.

I suppose there's a way of having the RIP do the cut after the job but you end up with your print job on the floor before the take-up reel has a chance to catch up.
