Hi All,
Im running an Mimaki JV3 250 SP solvent printer, we use Avery MPI 2920 vinyl ( used to be be mpi 3000) . We do use an overlam but it is a cheap ecomonical overlam. We do indoor signage....
My question is, how long would a digi print last outside with this kind of vinyl? I already know the ink will fade over time, as it is not UV. Im thinking a year or two before fading really sets in?
Is there a laminate I could use that would dramatically improve the durabillity of of ink and vinyl, without breaking my pocket? This would be a favor for a friend not a paid job and am hesitant to do it without first knowing what kind of flack im going to get for a faded sign a year from now... LOL.
