Mimaki JV3 ERROR 04 FLASH ROM ?

hi all,
anyone know whats going on here ?
I updated the firmware to 7.3 and it rebooted with ERROR 04 FLASH ROM
with a long beep and the JV3 hangs.
Cant do a thing to get it out of this ?
Is this going to mean a new mainboard ??

The manual I found Here says "control circuit board is defective" and to reboot or call a technician.

Typically when flashing phones and a ROM doesn't load right you can usually manage to re-flash it again and hope it wasn't the ROM file or use an older version to go back to.

Hopefully you'll be able to re-flash it and get it running without calling a tech but it might come down to that unless someone has some more technical info

no amount of reflashing has helped.
it will flash though, but it wont reboot..
so im thinking that means that the Firewire side is doing its job.
But i think points to a screwed flash memory or a hardware fault.
Nightmare stuff.

What version of firmware did you have before you upgraded?

version 7 to 7.3
i have now taken the board out replaced with a new one only to have problems identifying ink carts, but im assuming thats an IO board problem ?
