Mimaki JV4 Question

Is there a way to disable a printhead? I use 4 colors(cmyk) for everything and never use the 5th and 6th color on the front or back set of my Mimaki JV4. If you remove the 5th and 6th printhead you get a temperature error from the Mimaki. Is there a setting to tell the JV4 to ignore a printhead? It's a waste of those pricey printheads to have them there but not use them. I've got old heads in those spots now, but would love to remove them altogether.

I know you can disable using them in the RIP, but I believe you still need heads and carts in the slots...
