When you're in Sensor test mode, and the sensors are not covered with the flags - does blocking them e.g. with bit of paper/card change the ON to OFF in the display?

In my case the X sensor or the finger are the culprits. I moved the sensor 2mm further in with d's tape as a test and the machine sets up OK
