Misting magenta and yellow

We are having issues with our 6042 mkii misting yellow and magenta and these bleeding lines in black. I’ve changed the capillary assembly, adjusted the head gap, done nozzle cleans, cleaned the print heads. I’ve check the positive and negative pressure and had to adjust the positive pressure which maybe helped slightly. Any ideas what I should do next or check next?

Did it sit with primer in in? Those heads look trashed, head 1 is probably totally gone if I were to go off the looks alone. 2 and 3 might be recoverable, and head 4 is a wildcard since there is so much ink on it I cannot see much.

Pick up some Mimaki Maintenance Fluid 16 and try to wipe the heads down with Texwipes (do not use foam swabs, it dissolves those). Can also use it for nozzle wash, but do NOT exceed 10 minutes. 16 will eat lines if left in a machine a day or two, it's crazy aggressive. With extreme care and LOTS of scrubbing, you might be able to get it printing CMYK well again. Getting the scuzzed up ink off a ceramic head is tricky to do without damaging the head. Might be able to pull them out, soak them and flush them. That said, even doing that, primer heads are rarely recoverable.

However, the underside of the head looks like the previous owner didn't bother with maintenance. Might also have a bad wiper/suction nozzle as well. If I were talking to a customer, I would quote all new heads at the very least and a major scrub-down. Easy 1-2 full day(s) job. Might need capping stations as well, maybe subtanks. Probably flush all 10 lines and check for clogs as well as filters.

Heads: $2100 x4
Filters: $21 x8
Capping Stations: $77 x4
Subtanks: $50 x8
Flush 7: $70/liter

Prices are Digiprint, and those aren't all in stock. Just a ballpark of parts cost you're looking at.

Ok this was very helpful.
I replaced the front most wiper, but every time I open it up to clean the wiper has ink on it. What would I replace there other than the wiper?

Subtanks (no dampers) rarely go bad on these, but not a bad idea to swap with heads. Do your best to clean the metal bracketry around the heads. They're crash-guards, so ok to scrub, just avoid hitting the tan ceramic recessed area where the nozzles are.
