Moving Canon IPF printers

I am in a bit of a dilemma. I am moving two Canon IPF printers (4100,8400). I have done a move in the past and did the "move" process, level 1. So I am familiar with moving these. However, I try the move process now, on both, and I am getting an error "replacement of a consumable part is required" I have put in new maintenance Carts in, so it is not looking for that, so I am assuming it is something else that requires a tech. I won't be able to get a tech in prior to the move, plus not sure it would be worth the cost on an out of warrantee 5yr/9yr old printer. Just wondering if there is a way to get around this error to maybe reset a setting. I realize it is risky to do something like that, but feel less risky to try the move and ink spillage. These have to go up 5 steps so I may not be able to keep them perfectly level, plus the drive (about 10 miles). Let me know if anyone can help.

If I am posting to the wrong forum, please let me know...

We had that when we moved our 8400 six years ago. There is an ink collector under the head transport path.
My dealer talked though the counter reset for the part and we were able to put the printer into transport mode.

I've no recollection of how we did it, but a couple of years later, we had ink weeping out from the overdue service maintenance.
A decent tech should be able to talk you through the reset, and you'll need at least one maintenance cart for the sub tank purge.
