OK guys,
I just bought this machine at a very good price, and it is currently not working.
Owner said the machine worked great before Christmas. After they took a 10
day break for Christmas, the printer wouldn't print any more. I have seen the
machine, watched it power up and run through the cycles, and even watched
as he tried to get it to print. But no ink would come out when trying to print.

So...I guess my questions are:
1 - Can I clean the print heads with something to see if I can get the machine to print?
2 - Could there be something else wrong with the machine, other than the print head?
3 - Are there good videos as to how to change out parts for this machine?

This will be my first printer. I'm looking forward to getting this machine going.
So any other help or advice would be greatly appreciated to help me get
this machine going.

If you run a cleaning cycle and no ink comes out into the waste tank, either the heads are clogged, the capping station is worn out, the pump is clogged or broken, the dampers are bad or a combination of these problems. If ink does come out into the waste tank and the head still doesn't fire, you probably have blown fuses on the main board. If that is the case, you will have to solder new fuses on.

If the heads are clogged you can try to flush the heads with a syringe and cleaning solution, but in my experience flushing the DX2 heads is 50/50 at best.

FYI - The heads for that machine are no longer being manufactured. There are still heads available but they will eventually dry up in the next year or so.
