Hi, as I bought my FC2250, it came with two blade holders attached - the CB09 and the CB15B. - it started without issues, Firmware was 3.40.
Upon installing everything, I also upgraded the Firmware to the newest, 4.60. - there the problems begun.
Instantly after upgrading the firmware, the error "TOOL POSITION ALARM" showed up with accompanying beeps. - Is far as I can tell, the only way to remove the alarm, is to restart the plotter, which is very annoying.
When I remove the tool, it works.
But when I attach it again, it beeps again. I have another PHP31-CB15B-HS, brand new, and it is the same.
What can I do? I need to urgently use the CB15U-K30 Blades to cut through some heavy papers (two sheets 280gsm Chromolux, glued together - it is not very hard paper, but ca 1mm thick), and have no other blade holders to put those blades in (I also tried the CB30UC with PHP34-CB30-HS blade holder, but it leaves marks on the paper), .
Is there any way to trick the FC2250 Plotter into using PHP31-CB15B-HS? This blade holder used to be supported, at least as the machine came to the market. So what happened? I know, that there is a follow up Version of this blade holder, PHP35-CB15-HS, but it usually does not mean, you cannot use the older version anymore?! Also, the PHP35-CB15-HS looks nearly identical to my PHP31-CB15B-HB. How can the plotter even tell, that it does not like the blade holder just seconds after I install the blade holder? Is there any kind of sensor for that?!
P.S. - could I maybe downgrade the firmware? I tried to find the 3.4, but to no avail, - maybe someone have somthing sub 4.0 for FC2250? And an explanation, how to downgrade, if possible.
Thanks!
