My Mimaki jv33-130 is randomly printing yellow

I have a JV33-130 that I am working with that has been randomly dropping yellow ink. Last year the printer had a massive issue and needed to have the motherboard replaced. The owner took his sweet time on getting that fixed and it resulted in requiring us to replace the printer head as well. There was still an issue with the electronics that kept the printer from functioning, so the owner replaced the slider board, memory board, and that little board on the front of the printer head. So to recap this.....

The motherboard has been replaced
The slider board has been replaced
The memory board has been replaced
The printer head has been replaced
The little board on the front of the carriage has been replaced.

My issue that is occurring is that my printer will randomly drop full yellow while printing. From the time the print head enters the media are to the time it goes back to the capping station it is printing yellow. It doesn't do it all the time, which is the truly frustrating part. I can print some items fine, and some items will have a random strip of yellow in them. I haven't adjusted anything on the printer yet, and I haven't done anything in my software. I am using Flexi and Production Manager as the design and rip software. Anyone have any suggestions?

I think another member had a similar problem except it was happening all the time, probably worth doing a search.

Apparently my boss neglected to tell me that when he was replacing the new motherboard one of the ribbon cables was a little loose, so he added tape to the backside of the cable (which is what the tech told him to do.) Somehow he managed to slightly damage the connector on the motherboard, so more than likely the ribbon cable/ribbon cable connector is going to be the culprit for all of these issues
