Mystery font

OK, I've run this as CAPS and lower case, through Find My Font; WTF, and WhatFontIs, with no luck. Any ideas?

(I've even vectorized it and made two clean letters for you)

Looks like an example or sample idea from an old Showcard lettering or Trademark suggestion book.
As for a "font".....nuthing here. Good luck!

Not necessarily true Colin. IMHO, it definitely has a very nice character to it. It very well could be a newer font that I've not seen and my memory for type characters is pretty good (even if I do say so myself). It just LOOKS like it may have come from a page of examples from some book by E.C. Matthews, Frank Atkinson, Samuel Welo, Ben Hunt, Charles Wagner, H.C. Martin, etc. . If I could, I'd run a search for images in books.
