Suggestions Near-black on black vehicle graphics

My client wants to logo up his new black truck but wants them barely there. I've seen a few statie cruisers with black reflective on black and the "silvery" black of the reflective looks about right in daylight but (of course) way too bright at night. Anyone do a job like this? What vinyl did you use? Thanks!

Metallic Dark Charcoal Grey vinyl (Oracal 951 Anthracite) looks good on a black vehicle. We did a whole fleet of black police cars with it.

We have done a few of those in Matte Black, very subtle. We have also done that same thing but with a brighter drop shadow on the matte.
Some look good, others not so much: Avery Bright Orange?
