Need help Graphtec FC7000

Bought a used Vinyl Express Q100 (same almost as FC7000 Graphtec) but display screen is active, but just blocks for numbers or letters when I turn it on. Just a series of black letter size blocks in a row or two rows. Any Ideas.

Second Question, any recommendations on repairs, I am sure I will have to ship it (as I am in very cold Utah)? Who have you had good results with? Thanks

I'm not sure of the issue. Call Sign Warehouse and see if they have a service contact in your area. I bet there is someone in SLC. A service call will be cheaper than shipping.
