our SP is just fine. unless you are running it constantly everyday, the SP should be just fine speedwise for you.

aren't the print heads IDENTICAL on the SP & VP, just that the VP has twice as many? quality should be nearly identical then

The print heads are the same; The VP has 4 heads; The quality is NOT the same as the VP has Intelligent Pass Control that provides better prints at higher speeds (with the latest firmware upgrade).
