Non-slip exterior floor banner solution?

We have a customer that is wanting us to create a temporary/reusable bocce ball court banner. (12' x 32' +/-)

My first thought is to print/seam it on banner stock so that it can be rolled up and stored, but obviously the lack of a non-slip texture is a concern.

Any sort of spills or rain would likely turn a banner into a skating rink, and liability concerns need to be addressed.

We have textured outdoor floor vinyl but wouldn't be ideal for re-using/storing, no way it would survive more than one use.

It will likely be pulled out and used every weekend for the summer, then put away and stored and hopefully re-used next summer.

Has anyone done anything like this before?

Does some sort of liquid lam / clearcoat with grit exist?

I print banners for use on floor in a similar manner to yours. I've done some unscientific slip tests and I see 0 difference between banner and banner laminated with anti slip floor lam when wearing sock and in shoes.

If you think about it, all the gymnastics type stuff and padded mats have a similar plastic finish to banner.

Printing on the back side of the banner, the rougher scrim side helps with the anti slip too.

Do your own test of antislip lam vs regular banner and i think you might be surprised how little difference there is. The back side of banner is the grippiest

If they want it to be re-uasble, would something like a printed floor mat work? You can always sub that out to one of the companies who do that. Just doing a quick search graphicfloors.com does what they call grip graphic mats.

It is a little spendy, but printing on BILD's 35mil or 50mil clear PVC would be a good solution. You'd print 2nd surface and the 1st surface is slip free. Comes in a ceramic or a wood grain finish. You could put a white vinyl on top of the ink for your white point. This solution would be very durable and reusable. I'm sure I could find a distributor for you up there in the Great White North.

Thanks guys. Those heavy duty solutions sound interesting but I think we'll go with Victor's suggestion of printing on the more textured side of scrim banner.

If we had more time I'd look into testing some more options but it's a pretty time-sensitive project.

Will report back with my results once we get it done.
