Try selling him a camera that doesn't put these pesky marks on his pics. Explain that such a new fangled camera doesn't come cheap.

indeed, my biggest problem with this whole job would be that you absolutely know people will tell him how crappy the job looks, and that will then put 100% of the blame on you, thus damaging your reputation.

We have the same problem. We tend to start our price out higher with some of our current customers then lower them to the normal price after our negotiations.
