not even a week old TRUvis vg3-640

this printer isnt even a week old. yes we have warranty. im waiting on response from tech. but wanted to come and ask if anyone knows whats going on.
been printing all day and randomly got these lines (in the "H") kinda worried me, did a clean, and it didnt go away, canceled that print and tried something else. seemed fine, then i got a fatal error! service call 0110
ive looked it up, seems to be encoder strip? anyways. i called the tech, he told me to turn it off and back on again, and try to print again. so tried the graphic with the "H" and it once again had the weird 3 lines threw it (feed direction)
so again i switched to another graphic and it got about 3 ft and it sent me the fatal error again. so waiting on the tech to get back to me.

has this happened to anyone else?

Looks like an encoder issue. A lot of times a new machine will splatter grease from the rail onto the encoder strip and that can cause issues like this. Clean it with alcohol and see if that helps.

Definitely not normal for a VG3. Looks like something on the encoder strip, as Solventinkjet pointed out.

Nothing like getting fatal errors on a brand new printer! Hope you get it sorted out.
