Hello i am trying to figure out how to power this neon sign. i bought it off facebook marketplace. All this has is 2 wires sticking out of the side. one wire is red and one is black. i tried to plug these into an outlet and the little circuit board reacted badly. How can i get this to work.
i see the charts on how to select a transformer but do not know how to read or select the right one.
is there a better forum or website that can explain to me how to fix this
thank you in advance

Buy a small electronic transformer, like 3000V they are self adjusting. Two DC wires out to the sign white & black gets the 110V
