THE POSITION:
The City of Riverside, Public Utilities Department, has one (1) vacancy in the Streets Division.
This recruitment will be used to fill the current vacancy and will establish an eligibility list to fill
future vacancies.
Under general supervision, to perform skilled work in the fabrication and repair of a variety of
signs and other markings used in traffic regulation and in street and vehicle identification; to
perform a full range of technical work in designing graphic displays and art work; and to do
related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Education:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience:
One year of experience in the preparation of a variety of signs and othermarkings. Prior experience in drafting or commercial arts is desirable.
Necessary Special Requirement
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid class “C” California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
Highly Desired Qualifications
Experience fabricating all types of street/road signs.
Experience designing signs using Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw or other commercial design software application.Experience operating/maintaining large ink jet printer, such as Roland.
Experience with cutting, weeding and applying vinyl(s) to sign blanks.
