Need Help Number plates

Hi guys I'm looking into printing number plates I have gone through dvla with registration application and waiting on reply etc anyway got in touch with tennants plastic and understand they sell the oki printer to print on film for plates but I already have the oki c711n so was wondering if I can use this printer instead of buying another oki from tennants plastics also anyone else do number plates willing to offer any tips etc
