Oce 460 XT ink not sticking to MCP laminate

We are having some adherence issues with our Oce' 460 XT ink. We are trying to print on panels from a fixture company, that are an "MCP" material. It's basically a compress wood type material w/ plastic facing. The facing does appear to be a bit "slick/ shiny " I think there may be some oils, etc... on the face, but cannot be sure.

We've tried cleaning with a few solvents, Iso Alcohol, etc..., to no avail.

Has anyone had or better yet tackled this problem.

Please let us know. Thanks

Same Problem

I attempted to do the same with the Agfa Anapurna Mv on similar melamine material. Wow, it printed beautifully! But as soon as you ran a finger over it, it peeled off, did not even take a tape test. I think the only way it might have worked would be to coat the material in some fashion with a base or white primer coat. It was not something I absolutely had to do, so I did not pursue it further, but I'd love to hear some suggestions.
