In need on some advice for a table vacuum issue I’m having with my oce flatbed. I’m having to unplug the vacuum from the pump to turn it on and off as the peddle and icon on screen are not doing it, which was working fine but now after unplugging it over night there is no vacuum at all when plugged back in. We suspecting it was blowing a fuse, which is was, so we have changed it. But now it’s blowing the fuse every time it’s plugged in and we are getting no vacuum. Any help is appreciated

Check the vacuum plug blades. They may need to be replaced.

You have a organge relay that controls the pump when stepping on switch or activate on screen. Sometimes that relay is getting stuck and you can’t turn off your pump or it’s not responding.
If I remember correctly you can find the relay on the card with a lot of fuses.

So ...
1. Remove the pump from printer.
2. Try to switch on separately from printer in line that you have good automatic fuse (220V).
The cable connector is bigger than normal, because it is 16 Amps.
If the fuse falls again and the machine is GT:
1. You are looking for a new or different pump.
2. You are looking for someone to rewind it or replace a faulty bearing.
If the machine is XT. Remove one by one one the pumps. What happens?
You may have a problem with one or two relays depend of type of printer.
This is the reason that can not power on or of from pedal or software.
The fastest way to understand something is to check the pump out of printer.

P.S. In pump there is two filters. One of them is fully clogged may be.
In pump there is bimetal plate that works as protection.
If the pump is overheated, it takes about 2 hours for it to cool down and start working again.
But if that's the problem, a fuse won't fit.

Thank you for your reply we have plugged the pump straight into the mains now and works fine but not a permanent fix so still will narrow down what the exact problem is thanks again

CLEAN THE DAMNED FILTERS BEFORE YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW PUMP!
