Okay, need feedback from people who do LED channel letters

I will say right away - i never sold LED channel letters, only non-lit ones (and of course installed them) so i know how to install LED ones, thats not the problem & i do have my own electrical contractor to hook up the wires etc.
How do you guys go usually about the pricing? I understand that there is lots to consider but in general?
For example i have a project with simple block LED letters (helvetica style font) They are 24", flat mounted. 12' in the air, so would install from the ladder.Power is there (new building).

I asked few days ago about suppliers in Canada for that stuff & inquired from Gemini. My price for letters & paper pattern for install is $3100 just to get them in. My question is - is it normal or should i look elsewhere?

might be because of the border shipping issue, but that seems majorly high.

for your other question, I usually go 1.6 to 2.0 (depending on project size) X MY cost , then add permitting and install

damn! that might be normal in your area but I would pay JUST TO OBTAIN them about $1800-$2200 off the top of my head.

We would add another $800-$1100 for install depending on the location and circumstances

Just got the quote from Direct Sign Wholesale.

$1456 USD which will translate to $2000-$2200 after crossing the border & exchange rate.

So, i guess general idea about that kind of stuff that its not cheap, So after installation it will be 3500-4000 roughly... never expected that kind of price for such small project.
