one shot dried - finally

For those of you who read about my imitation gold / One Shot dillema last week, i had applied gerber 220 to the not so dry sign panel and installed it end of last week under much duress. I went by there today and was pleased to find the paint had finally dried and looked acceptable. EXCEPT - two half dollar size areas where the paint skinned over too quickly and tightened up leaving a little alligator in the finish. Should expect that these spots will crack and fall off in short order?
