In Onyx 10.1 I created a Quick Set. In the Quick Set settings. There is a button for Bit Depth. You can use 8 or 16 or smart 16. does anyone know what this actually does?
I was writing out a response but this is easier. We leave it as smart 16-bit full time but we do a lot of work with gradients and transparency. You might consider checking a couple books out from the library on color theory, gamuts, bit depth, delta-e, etc. as it's good info to know if you're a digital printer or designer. Easy to get confused on the "x-bit" front as different people/companies explain it in different ways aka whatever makes their marketing sound the best.
