onyx 12 rip error when printing

I'm trying a test print from onyx 12 Rip. Using an epson surecolor s40600. When printing it gives the error printer cannot print because it cannot process color (may not be exact error message). Can anyone give me pointers what's wrong. I've not used this software before. Just had to reinstall it on a new computer for an end user.

specifically the error is (Error) Printer doesn't support color processing!

it is misidentifying itself?
i forget how you setup a printer in onyx, i assume you have a tab where you choose where you send the job?
did you look through the settings
maybe in reinstalling it, it is looking for settings, profiles or some support files in the old, now nonexistent location?
does it specify a different inkset or colorspace?
