Onyx, job quits when sent w/tiles as individual jobs?

Onyx 10.2, I am printing a tiles image and cannot get it RIP's w/out just cancelling out. I have two RIP stations running 10.2 & it happens on both. I really enjoyed Versaworks right-click function to hide tiles and re-rip, but I do not see anything similar in Onyx.

Any ideas. Also, I haven't opened the Layout Program, not sure of its capabilities. I'm looking into that option now.

Thanks Gentleman.

Running 7.3 here, but it could be an issue with curve complexity rather than one of tiling. Any transparencies over gradients and/or Pantones?

curve complexity? Are you talking cutting paths or colors" There is a spot logo at a percentage over the background photo. I'm gonna mess with that a little later today or tomorrow.

Thanks

I mean generally a large number of curves; a lot of shapes and layers. Could also be the dreaded Onyx size limit. Have you checked off "Submit tiles as separate jobs"? That sometimes helps in cutting down on the file size, and circumventing the single file limit.

It's a glitch in 10.2. Not sure if they're addressed it yet or released any sort of patch or fix for it, but it does the same thing to use as well. Sort of a pain, you have to RIP a tiled job as one piece. Once you get used to it it's not too bad, what we do is let the whole image RIP, and then individually select the tiles you want to print (right click the job>edit>tiles), print those, and then drag the job back up from the bottom and select the next tile(s) you want to print. It's an extra step or two but the end result is still the same. I still do wish they would fix it though.

Oh weird! 7.3 has kind of the opposite problem. Doesn't crash when I send a single tiled image, but it doesn't take the overlap into account, basically ignoring the whole reason for tiling an image at all.

You'd think they'd have something so basic figured out by now.
