Onyx RIP - colour corrections to images only

Hi guys,

We have a problem that we are looking for a bit of help with.

We have a file, that has not been created by ourselves, it has a pantone coloured background and logos that we are happy with the colours but the images in the file are really dark.

In Onyx 7 RIP, is there a way to make colour corrections to images only ?

Thanks in advance for any help !

Don't know Onyx, but in Wasatch, which I use, it is possible to set different separation rules and rendering intents either for vector or bitmap elements and for rgb or cmyk as colour space of these elements. Maybe Onyx has similar settings.

Yes you can apply separate profiles to vector and image elements.
There is a profile called "lighterCMYK" or something you could try.

save it as a pdf, open in acrobat pro, use the Image Touchup tool to take the individual pics to photoshop for color editing. When you close and save them from photoshop, the pdf will update with the edited photo.
