Hope this is the right place to post this since it's a combination of software and printer.
As noted, I am using (as of 3/19/14) Onyx 11 with a Mimaki JV3-130spII.
Since the software upgrade, the colors I print aren't the same. Since I didn't set up Onyx10, I don't know what was there when I inherited this position.
An example is... Everyone knows how bright and vibrant Coca-Cola red is, right?
Well, when I try to print that color from a pdf generated from Ai CC, it prints a not-so-lovely shade of rust or maroon.
I'm not a savant when it comes to color management, spot colors, etc... (Yes I DO know the difference and that of RGB and CMYK) but I don't know the nuances of it when it comes to printing on vinyl.
Can anyone please help me to make the correct adjustments somewhere that will get me the vibrant red instead of the muddy rust?
Thanks!
