ORAJET® 3551RA and 215 Gloss Lamination

Maybe the pool was too cold? :p

but on a serious note.. are you letting your prints gas off for a minimum of 24 hours? Which part is shrinking? the laminated media or only the laminate itself? With 3551 RA you are supposed to "post heat" everything to certain temperature so that it retains it's applied memory and not it's original memory , ie. shrinkback to original state.

We use 3551 mostly instead of the RA and haven't had a problem with shrinkage...

The shrinkage is done during aplication. Even we use Epson S80600 we let 3551 outgass for 12+ hours.
I tried το applicate on a Square Bond 103x103cm. The Printing surface was 103,5 x 103,5 cm but at the direction of appliance was lost over 1cm. Strange to me!!!
Finally we heated the material to cover the diffrence!

It’s considered a High Performance Calendered film. I don't use it but if I did I would use the Cast 290 laminate.
