Orajet 3164 alternatives

Been using this material for years for our budget material and was great. But the last few years it has been a crap shoot if I am getting a good roll or not. I have a had a few rolls that curl on the edges (the actual roll of vinyl) badly so have to deal with possible head strikes. And then sometimes I have rolls that look like they are covered in dust after I run a print. So reprints are more and more common. Tired of dealing with reprints and head strikes. Current roll has both of the issues mentioned above. Anyone have a material that they recommend that is similar? We do a lot of print and instantly cut afterward (no lamination) so looking for something that doesn't curl with full bleed prints like that.

Are you using the smooth liner product or the air-egress? My Freshwater Films monomeric with smooth liner is made for us by Drytac in Toronto and is $175.30 for a 54"x164'. Nothing all that sexy other than it is a good inexpensive product and I've not had any problems with it cutting or curling. stocked in the midwest.

I just use the smooth stuff since I find it cuts more intricate details better when weeding. Would prefer 30 inch rolls (or 60 and can cut in half).

We are having the same issue and dealing with head strikes. We thought it was the delivery driver slamming the roll on the ground. From now on we inspect the rolls after receiving and then send back for a new roll. We also use Arlon DPF 510 as a replacement but it's $15 more per roll. May have to switch to Arlon if Oracal doesn't figure it out.

Mine seem to be a formula issue as they instantly curl slightly when putting them in the machine. Then when I hang to dry they really curl along the edges of the roll. Would probably end up curling onto itself if my hangers didn't keep it somewhat flat at one end.

I don't know where you are located, but we can do 27" rolls all day. 60" is a little harder to cut on our slicer.

Do you have a spec sheet for this material? Was looking on your website but couldn't find any information on this. Thickness, outdoor life expectancy, temperature rating, etc. Is this the material called:
