Outdoor sign vinyl recomendation

I am doing a outdoor sign for our local High School and was curious what everyone would recommend for this. It will be applied to max metal. Most everything I do and use is 1005 EZRS and 1360 laminate. I have plenty of this but didn't know if there was a better option for signs like this. They are going to cover it with lexan to protect the kids from messing with it also. Stick with the 1005/1360 that I have in stock or something else?

I would do a digital print on 3M IJ40. I dont know where your sign will be but I think that would suffice.

DO NOT cover a sign in lexan, when you do this the gloss of the lexan will take away from the print and be distractive
this does not serve its purpose also placing lexan against a sign is only a trap in the future for dirt

You could print it reverse on clear, apply it to the inside of the lexan, then cover that with white.

I see what you're getting at, but I don't see how it would help in this scenario. My thought is the lexan is supposed to add another protective layer that can be replaced if it gets graffitied badly without damaging the sign. If you apply the sign to the lexan and it gets damaged, you still have to replace the whole panel with printed sign.

I'd think you could look at the anti-graffiti laminate if you're looking for something sturdy. But I've never used the stuff and don't know if it's worth it.

I agree about not layering the lexan over top the sign. As mentioned, it adds glare and potential for damaging the sign if water, dirt, mold, etc. gets in between.
