Oval cabinet with a pole cover

Anyone ever done an oval cabinet on a pole cover sign? If so, how did you get the pole cover into the cabinet and make it look good or did you fab as on piece? Any photos or ideas would be helpful. To make it more interesting... we might do a lighted cabinet.

We designed one several years ago that we subbed out to larger sign company and we did a plate mount. Existing pole had plate on top so we just put plate under oval and mouted that way. you can also do saddle mount where the pole slides up inside oval and peices were fabbed to cover the place where round pole was inserted. is your pole square or round?

Manufacture the pole cover so it will slide on after the sign is installed or make one or both sides of the cover that can be removed and replaced after the welding is complete.
