Paint Mask Material

I have someone looking for some paint mask material, and I got the material quoted from my local supplier, and they priced it at $7.50 cdn per yard (30" roll). Based on the amount needed, I figured my material cost is approx $100. After giving them my quote, he said that he had one guy in the USA quote the total job (material & labor) for the same price as my material cost alone. Is the price I was quoted out of line? I'm not sure what brand the material was, but they sell Avery & Oracal, so I presume it's one of the two. If it's out of line, anyone know any good suppliers in the Toronto Ontario area?
