painting the edge of ACM?

Hey All,
We are creating some sign panels out of ACM and the customer has requested the edge match the graphics that will go on the faces. Both sides of the panel will be visible.

What do you normally do to finish the edge of ACM?
Prime & spray paint? Mask off the faces? What type of paint?

Looking for ideas...

we paint the edges of brushed silver ACM all the time to give the look of solid aluminum, we jut give the edges a quick sand and hit it with a can of krylon

I assume you mean on 6mm ACM....pointless on 3mm, you won't see the edges 10 feet away.
