PDF's With Corel X3

Is anyone else having issue with opening PDF's in Corel X3? I have been having issues the last month or so, with nearly every PDF that is e-mailed to me. I get a "the file is corrupt" and can't open it (in Corel). I assume that X3 doesn't recognize a new version of Adobe. Is there a work around or am I stuck upgrading to X5?
