pen tool

i guess we lost power last nite and my backup power didn't keep it running. now when i use the pen tool it creates a new layer with a vbector mask?? any idea what settings to change? thanks brett

In Photoshop?
there should be a selection for "Shape Layers" or "Paths"
select the paths one.

ok, i'll remember that. i just rebooted and that did it.

That means your photoshop is now default setup. Ok, you need to select pen tool first and then from the pen tool properties which is located underneath of the main menu bar select the "paths".
