I'm looking to get suggestions on laminations for perforated vinyl. Looking for a good combination of see-through clarity and ease of installation. Thanks in advance for any suggestions given!
To extend the life of the vinyl. We install it with and without. We have several installs out there with lamination and they look great. I just like to know what other people are using because I don’t know everything about everything
Any optically clear works. We use 3M 8518... its a bit expensive, but if you dont use optically clear then you wont be able to see through it.
We've had some laminated perf up for 8 years and it still looks good. While window perf may be considered temporary... With edge tape and laminate, it can last just as long as vinyl.
I've got an optically clear cast and calendared option. The cast 54"x164' rolls sell for $631.43 and the calendared option is only $336.00. The calendared is a monomeric film so it is rated for 3 years facing south outdoors. Longer for east and north facing windows.
