Photoshop mask issue

Anyone know what cause this out of the blue look at how crappy this brush is when masking in photoshop cs6. Hardness is set to 0% etc.... was working fine earlier. I removed photoshop from pc then I re-installed it with no luck.

Any ideas,

it looks normal to me, what do you mean by crappy? what are you trying to accomplish? It looks like a brush with a 0% hardness which means there will be a feathered edge, if you want a clean crisp edge put the hardness to 100%.
