hi
i purchased a xrite i1 to make my own profiles. however when i print the color palette it comes out almost all black as if there is a lot of ink and the colors that do come out.. come out grainy. is there some where i can go to learn about ink limits feed setting etc and all the details about printing because this is driving me crazy. i am wasting a lot of material trying to get it right.also losing work

feed calibration done
test print shows a few dropouts on black
dpi tired both 1440 and 720x1440
software both colorip 2.x and flexisign 8.6
p.s. i didnt have the colorip software however when i downloaded the updater from the roland site it stated that there wasnt a previous version and i installed it anyways and it works.
also i tried printing from my friends flexi software on his laptop same results grainy dark pictures....
