Hello,

1. I have a very strange problem..
The printer is cleaned every week, the damper are less 2months old, caping is 6 months, prints everyday all day long but have very bad problem which come more bad.

The print test have a few nozzles missing and deviating - see picture

The problem is when I print on 720x720 less than 16 passes - 8,4,2p - I have the colors to get shift, sometimes don't have it, but till now i have it much often. First I think that it is by the magenta chanel but I have mistake. I make some tests.

I print a square 20x20 cm - 100%c 100%m 100%cm 100%cy

First - 720x720 4p Variable dot 2 ->
Secont 720x720 4p Variable dot 1 ->

Third 720x720 16p Variable dot 2 ->


At the third print I don't have color shift but it is slow

Also from some time I see that at 16p it did't shift but it make cyan overspray very bad ->
That is only if I print cyan or cyan +magenta like on picture, and one time with yellow(green)

I reprint it on 540x360 12p without any overspray, very good quality at all.




2.The other big problem I have is I have is that on high speed printer don't print the passes in straight and after print align!

For first problem first I think is dying head/ first magenta,after that cyan/ but I make more tests it make it with black and yellow also. at less than 16p.
I think It will be slider or can be more bad motherboard??

The second I think need new encoder strip is needed or?

Please help I contact spec but he can't catch the problem part.

Having the same issue with my CJV30. tried printer head height/ adjusted print quality in printer settings. I have had a bit of improvement but still is a bit blotchy looking. Working on it...

Boobanke you mean you also have alignment issue. It was ok before 2-3 months but now on fast speed I have a 1mm difference. I didn't change anything till now but I can't align to go straight on bidirectional.

For me the first problem is more important because I cant print less than 16 passes on 720x720.

Today I print blue sky 2x1,4m and in the end where was much darker blue it overspray on them in other part of the image I don't have it. - 720x720 16p normal speed


I think it is cyan head or the slider is bad. I wait tech to come and see but for now will have to work somehow.

My problems was bad encoder strip for the colors shifting and bad cyan for not going straight / all nozzles fires but electric problem in the head./ Spraying don't come back after good cleaning of cap and changing the ink with other bottle.
I didn't change the head for now. I drop down to 360x720.

Gday Mate, Im having some issues with my JV3160SP .. colour dropping out.. is this a similar issue and did the encoder strip fix the problem. thanks in advance
