Plotter for airbrushing

I need a plotter to cut spray mask for airbrushing. Can any one recommend one for less than $1000 that has good detail? I know nothing about plotters. Contacted signwarehouse and they recommended a lynx-12. Sounds great but I see 24" plotters cheaper. I using it for motorcycle tank graphics and stuff. Master 24 is 699 but I'm not sure of the resolution. Can you help straighten me out?Thanks
