A local commercial construction company is asking me to print on plotter paper. it comes in 36" rolls. is this something I can do? and what would be the paper I would use? brand.

I've used Dietzgen (Sihl) plotter paper to make install templates, but it looks like they also have inkjet-compatible options as well:

Careful, though. It looks like a lot of these "engineering" or "CAD" papers have 2" cores...

you have an HP(?) latex printer, i believe?
i have had very good results printing solvent, eco sol & mutoh on bond paper.

latex dosen't "soak in" & evaporate. it sits on top of the paper

there are 2 ways to handle that. the broom handle with dry wall screw and washer is a favorite

Canon makes a Calibration media, very durable and cheap, almost like a 70# C1S offset paper.
I also use it for one off posters with great results.

i always took that to mean that the paper was "really white" consistently

30+ years ago, a friend worked on the color matching project for a major home center.
they complained that our photospectrometers were drifting. you couldn't get consistent results if you went back in to reorder paint

long and the short of it was, the base was not stable, when we started testing new drums of base, the color was all over the place

If they are wanting line drawings done and the artwork is vector you can have your plotter draw them on that kind of paper.
they use the plotter paper with their printed logo on it to put in the windows when they are working on the construction of the inside of the building they are working on. it's not being used for cad drawings

Try contacting Lindenmeyr Munroe -

Looks like they have a few locations in Texas. They're a big paper supplier and have helped me with finding paper for latex multiple times.

they said they can't help me.
That's embarassing. They must assumes latex is different vs inkjet, and aside from the curing, it really isn't.
Do you deal with Reece Supply Co? We get white pattern/plotter paper from them, you can just throw it into a latex and hit print.
