Pop-up display stand...what to print on?

Never done any panels for a pop-up display...client gave me the following information.

"The panels are for a 10’ pop-up for this. The display is made up of 4 front fabric panels - black. Each panel is 29 3/8” wide x 92 ¼” high."

We need each panel output, 3mil laminate applied (matte or a crystal/textured finish) with velcro on back.

Any suggestions on material? I use a 12 mil film for retractables, could I use it on this?

Thanks,
Ben

What 12 Mil film are you using now? You should be able to use that thickness with a 10 Mil polycarbonate overlaminate.

Laminate required?

I talked to the client about this film and how it was scratch resistant (it's LexJet SR 12, and I've never had a scratch using retractables with it) and she said that maybe lamination wouldn't be required. Is 12 mil rigid enough? She wants to be able to roll them up. I'm completely ignorant on pop-up displays, so I'm wondering if lamination is 100% necessary.

Your thoughts?

Im very familar with POP-UPs and you should laminate with a thick polycarb for durability and rigidity. You should print on the 12Mil and Laminate with a 10Mil polycarbonate.

Consequences of not laminating? I'm not discounting your advice, client just needs these by Friday and I don't stock that kind of lamination as we've never had a job requiring this. I don't even know if I could get the lam by Friday.

Your thoughts?

Are they just using it for one show? If they are then you could get away with it but definetley not reccomended

Is the lam more for rigidity or more for durability? Ever used the LexJet stuff? I never lam it for anything and some of my clients are pretty harsh on it. It is also pretty rigid even at 12 mil, so I'm wondering how much damage could actually happen.

Its for both, yes Im familar with Lexjets product. I was the originator of that product so everything out there is a replica of the original german product I started selling 6 years ago. You should laminate it for sure, I can get you a 10Mil no problem. My product is also non scratch and non edgecurl but it will still scratch and show fingerprints when handled. Tradeshow graphics are expensive for a reason because they are suppose to last a long time.
