Hello Everyone,

I am fairly new to wide format printing industry, and I am looking to purchase a 3.2m roll to roll UV led Printer.
I am torn between :
Mimaki UJV55 and Lintor LDP Raptor R2R

Mimaki Price - @56,000usd
Inks : 122usd/liter
Vs
LDP Price - @96,000usd
Inks : 96usd/liter

Specs and print quality are great on both machines, but the deciding factor now is which route is best in the long run? The cheaper Mimaki Ujv55 with costly inks or the pricier LDP Raptor r2r with cheaper inks.

I hope you guys can help shed some light into this.

Thank you.

The main question to ask is which printer can you easily get parts and service easily. Mimaki is one of the industry's main brands, I have found them very durable and easy to get parts and work on when needed. I'm not even familiar with the LDP printers. It really sucks when a piece of equipment breaks down and you are stuck waiting weeks or months to get parts, or have to fly in a service tech because no one locally knows how to work on it.

Man who touches printers inappropriately.
UJV55 is getting a bit long in the tooth. If you don't need the grand format width, a UCJV330 might be a better overall choice with the much more modern heads, more nozzles and higher native DPI.

Thank you so much for your response.
But if all parameters are met, which one are you leaning towards?

Thank you boss for your response.
Actually, that's one area I'm a bit skeptical about the mimaki UJV55. It's a bit dated in terms of hardware perse. And with regards to the UCJV, unfortunately won't work as we need it to print 3m wide backlit textile projects.
