Print & Cut workflow question

Hi everyone,
I’m sure this question has come up before, but I haven’t been able to find a clear answer yet.
I’m running a Mutoh ValueJet 1324X with a Summa S-Class 120T tangential roll cutter, using FlexiSIGN & PRINT 22 for design and RIP.
My issue is tracking accuracy. On print-and-cut jobs longer than about 1 meter, tracking starts to drift and cut accuracy drops noticeably.
What I’m trying to achieve is the following:
Instead of sending one large print-and-cut job (for example, 500 stickers) with a single set of OPOS marks for the entire length, I’d like to split the job into smaller sections (for example, 10 jobs of 50 stickers), each with its own OPOS registration marks. That way, the cutter can re-read OPOS and correct tracking before cutting each section, rather than relying on long-distance tracking accuracy.
I believe this can be done in several ways, but I’d really appreciate your opinion on what is considered the most efficient and automation-friendly workflow in Flexi for this kind of setup while also minimizing media waste.
Thanks in advance for any insights.

You should definitely be able to cut longer than that without issues (clean those rollers!) -- but the quick n' lazy method to get the job out the door seems pretty obvious. Create a smaller job, and repeat that job x times. Just nest your objects to use the full width of your roll, whatever that looks like given the size/qty you need to produce. Easy.

Set the artwork out as you want the rip to cut it
if not laminating, cut 1st print second

if your cutter is not tracking, look at the outside rollers are they covered in ink, have you got flat spots on them, if so replace them.

most tracking issues are down to operator error, ie not taking the time to set up properly

good luck
