Print is too dark

Hello everyone,
I have a Roland SP 540V printer.
I do my prepress in Corel and when I work with vectors I have no problems, but when I export jpg or bmp to Versaworks the print is too dark.
I export an RGB TIF file from Corel to Versaworks
No matter which ICC profile I use, the print is always significantly darker than the prepress.

Have you tried with all icc off?
Have you also tried converting the RGB files to CMYK, to at least give you more realistic expectations.
I don't have a roland or versaworks, so if there is a simple answer, I don't know. On my hp, I can make a new profile and change the ink limit, which will change how 'dark' the print appears, but at the same time I can alter the CMYK values to get a lighter color.

If you know that these files are always too dark you can go into the job settings, color settings, and then move the slider for brightness. Do some testing and find out where that slider needs to be and then every time you bring a bit file in just move that slider to that spot.
of course you can figure out that value in your design program as well. I just always apply that to that file.
